Photos from last night’s stand up cocktail party and reception. C1C played 8-10 originals, our great Brazilian friend, Tom, played a couple of his, and we had a great time supporting a worthy cause. Highlights were towards the end when Jeff was on guitar, and I was on the cajon. Our rhythm was received well and a few of the guests began dancing. Nice ending.
Not only am I fortunate enough to accompany Jeff A. this evening, but I’ll also be performing three of my own little creations. Excited. -Jsw

TweetWhat happens when an album goes to New York?
So, I walked into Neptoon Records on Main Street in Vancouver and chatted with Rob as he was scanning a recently acquired collection of vinyl for imperfections. We talked about in store concerts, online stores/selling, and the state of vinyl. He said people are buying vinyl because it is something that they just are willing to pay for. On the topic of online selling, and in response to my question about whether he does it or not. He responded that he doesn’t like to.
Why? That was my question, and the title of this post. His answer?
He said, “If an album goes to New York, I’ll never get a chance to buy it back.”

I think that should be Jeff’s new title. Here’s one of his latest creations.

TweetThe range of performance at this show was a rare thing that I have not seen in this town, and I hope to see a whole lot more of.
